YOUTH

As one of the missions is to support Indonesian Youth Photographers/Artist, Art Photography of Indonesia facilitates, promotes and sponsors activities related to Youth Photographers/Artist such as: youth competition (both nationally and internationally), exhibition, education to youth photographers/artist etc.
 

The objective of this activities :

1. To motivate the students / young Indonesia photographers/artist to participate in Photo/Multimedia competitions.
2. To improve the creativity of young Indonesia photographers/artist.
3. To promote the young Indonesia photographers/artist to international communities.
4. To encourage the young Indonesia photographers/artist to compete in international competition.

Past activities :

1. Become the sponsor the Youth Show Case of Photographic Society of America (PSA) for Indonesia Youth Photographers (2019 and 2021).
   

   

   
2. Held an International Photo Competition (cooperation with organizations in Germany and South Africa) that open to youth photographers (give special awards trophy, medals and certificate of merits to youth) : Cross Continental Circuit 2015-2020.
   

   
3. Held an International Print Exhibition which open to young photographers Borderless exhibition, an international exhibition, a cooperation with Indonesia Institute of the Arts of Yogyakarta (ISI) Yogyakarta, August 2021.
4. Held an educational presentation about International Exhibition and Competition to Youth artist Art Photography of Indonesia with a cooperation with the Indonesia Institute of the Arts of Yogyakarta (ISI-Yogyakarta) held a webinar on September 2, 2021.
   

   
5. Become the jury of the 2021 Silk Road Youth International Photography Exhibition in Beijing – China. In this competition total 8 photos from ISI-Yogyakarta, has been awarded.
   

   

   

   
6. In August-November 2022, Art Photography of Indonesia had collaborated with Indonesia Institute of the Arts of Yogyakarta (ISI – Yogyakarta) through the Ministry Education’s program called “Matching Fund” to build the online judging competition system, named SPELO.
   This system can be used not only for online competition but also for curating. The media can be photos, videos, text (pdf). By having this system, we expect to open more opportunities to hold international competitions, especially photo/videos competitions for youth (university students or high schools).
